Mike is a 6th generation Salem native. He received his bachelor’s degree from Willamette University in 1997. He got his DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree in 2001 from Oregon Health Sciences University. He took over the practice from his dad, James S. Litchfield, in October of 2001. Dr. Litchfield has on been on staff at the Oregon State Hospital for eight years and provides patient care there on Fridays. He has volunteered on Medical Teams International, Mission of Mercy, Salem-Keizer School District’s Neighborhood Dentist Program, and the Donated Dental Program.
Mike and his wife Carrie have a daughter and a son. He enjoys coaching youth sports, fishing, scuba diving, and spending time with his family.
